ABOUT
Canvas is a target, rather than just a window to express something. Instead of academic formal expression, she pursues bold, free and direct gestures. The most important thing is the feeling of freedom, which captures and imitates nature through drawing and painting.
She uses bold and thick brush strokes which exhibit roughly without boundary between reality and abstraction. There is no restriction to thicken and lighten the layers in the work. Hence, the rough and disordered color layer develops organically.
캔버스는 무언가를 표현할 창구가 아니라 그 자체가 예술의 대상이 된다. 그녀는 정형화된 아카데믹한 표현보다 대담하고 직접적인 표현을 추구한다. 자유로운 느낌을 가장 중요시하며 자연을 함축시켜 감성적으로 표현한다.
그녀는 재료를 두껍고 과감하게 사용하고 실상과 추상의 경계없이 거칠게 휘두르는 붓놀림을 선보인다. 이를 통해 그녀의 작품은 밀도있는 감정을 전달한다. 색층을 두텁게 하고 옅게 하는 것이 자유롭고 그로 인해 거칠고 무질서한 색층이 자연스럽게 발색한다.
